It is easy enough to learn about any company that has a website and even if they don’t have a website, you can still learn about them via LinkedIn and other sources. You never want to ask “What does your company do?” because that is knowledge you should already possess by the time you arrive at the job interview. Once you know what the company does, you can make some assumptions about how the job opening fits into the bigger picture.
