One of the biggest obstacles we face in achieving our big goals is our own negative self talk. High performers have a few tricks to overcoming negative self talk and making their futures better than their pasts. You can’t simply disbelieve what your mind is telling you, you have to overcome it. The best way of doing that is by focusing on goal oriented action. Negative self talk has the power to immobilize us. Positive forward action propels us forward and expands our boundaries. A huge part of growth is internal but drowning out negative self talk and taking positive forward action growth will also manifest externally.
