Keeping your employees engaged and motivated — indeed, keeping them around at all — is critically important to the development of your business. You need to identify your “A Players,” IE your best and most reliable employees, and reward them by giving them more autonomy and by compensating them appropriately. Use and live your mission statement to provide employees with a sense of purpose. Put your employees’ passions and interests to work for you.
