| Northwest District Dental Assoc. Summer Meeting | Dental Temps of Northwest Florida and Dental Temps of North Florida were in attendance at the Northwest District Dental Association Summer meeting on Aug.12 & 13 at Edgewater Beach Resort in Panama City. At our exhibitor booth we received a lot of interest from dentists in regards to staffing. We were more than happy to talk with them about their staffing concerns. It is always great to see the smiling faces on the dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants that attend this meeting. The doctors were not invited to attend the class given by Geraldine Ferris D.M.D., Dr. Ferris was a hygienist for 14 years then she returned to dental school, graduating as a Periodontist at the age of 42. In her lecture she touched on several areas of interest to professionals in the dental office. Legal and Ethic Dilemmas, the health problems of hygienists and dental assistants after a few years of practice, and what the hygienists and assistants need to know about what happens to their patients that are referred to the Periodontist. On Friday afternoon they held a golf tournament for the professionals that can swing a golf club. The evenings offered a number of choices. Restaurants, music, or sunset walks on the beach.
